My robot, which I have named the “Lunar Soil Mover” is a very simple design. It is essentially a box with four wheels and a bucket. The Lunar Soil Mover would eventually be able to tilt and move up and down and also have a conveyor belt which would lead directly to the high capacity soil holding compartment. It would feature a dump bed which would allow the unloading of lunar soil.The bot also is equipped with all terrain tires to handle even the toughest moon rocks. Many protective covers would also be used to protect the more sensitive parts from the sticky lunar dust. The Lunar Soil Mover could be programmed to mine lunar regolith and bring it back to a central location for processing into manufactured resources.
