My lunar rover, Clarity, is equipped with wheels made with metal-mesh treads that can easily move around the lunar surface, an arm for collecting samples, solar panels as primary power source, and a nuclear battery as it’s backup. The rover has a tarp that covers the machinery to protect the sensitive parts from the moon dust. The sample collecting telescopic arm, that can extend 1 foot, has a 10-inch-deep cup which can hold 0.5-1 pound of regolith. The cup has a tarp over it. The tarp opens and closes using electromagnets while collecting and holding samples. Then, it will discharge the sample into the holding container.
