Gears wheels work like a conveyor belt/the wheel on an excavator. There is no air in between the outside of the wheels; there are gears that go round and round to move. The piece in between the wheels is a Broom/Duster. It brushes the surface the Robot is on, so it is easier to find the regolith. For the robot to find the regolith there is a detector at the top. To pick up the regolith there is a Scooper also on an excavator. Once the scooper has collected the regolith it dumps it on the Track. The Track is also a conveyor belt that moves it into the robot for the regolith to be organized into the slots.
