This lunar rover has been dubbed the X-01m. It is designed to gather and carry large amounts of lunar regolith. It achieves the task of carrying the soil through a large reservoir located beneath the upper section. It acquires the lunar soil using a robotic scooper similar to large industrial equipment, and a miniature drill attached to the scoopers arm to break tougher material. After breaking and collecting the material, the scooper places it within the reservoir for transport. Power comes from rear-mounted solar panels, which send energy to power cells located beneath the rear of the rover. These panels fold inward. This will reduce the buildup of material on the panels. The rover is capable of crossing the lunar surface through a use of an eight wheel suspension system that allows for stable movement at potentially high speeds, allowing the ability to cross great distances, assuming conditions are ideal.
