Wall-E, the space robot, will dig and move lunar soil from the South Pole of the Moon and relocate it in a holding container near a future Moon base. It is equipped with 3 main tools all activated through hydraulics; a power activated drill, a power activated pick ax, and a power activated claw. The drill will dig into the ground, and with the help of the pick ax, break up bigger pieces of ground. It will eventually create a pile of ground up soil. This robot uses a camera and sensor to move. The sensor would notify the rover where to use the claw to pick up the dirt pile. Then, using its wheels, will make its way to the programmed checkpoint. Wall-E will have a fire safety program in place in the event of the drill or any of the power functions overheating and starting a fire.
