The Electronic Astronaut has many functional features that could withstand the environment on the Moon. Most of the robot is made of titanium and is very adaptive to temperature and the radiation in space. The rover has an excavator type arm that is powered by hydraulics and the solar panels surrounding the body of the rover. It also has a 360 degree rotational base for maneuverability. Flexible tracks will help with the uneven lunar surface if it is stuck. Due to the Moon's surface being mostly dust and rock fragments, the titanium arm and scoop will easily be able to break up the soil and keep it in the scoop without it being blasted away from the surface. The rover also includes a camera in the scoop of the bot so it can send images of the material to scientists so they can view samples easier.
