Lung problems are a common health problem that can be caused by a person breathing in space dust, dust made out of gas found in space. This mask filters out air being breathed in, so it filters out the space dust, and only takes in the oxygen. This mask works like a gas mask, but its material has been changed to fit for space-use. The lens on the mask can be changed if needed. Another problem astronauts face is space radiation. Since this works like a gas mask, this mask can prevent radiation from harming the wearer of the mask.
