Sleep Problem Solver

In space there is no regular day\night cycle which causes the astronauts to have trouble sleeping. NASA said that, “ you could also develop a sleep disorder because your circadian rhythm might be thrown off due to the 38 extra minutes each day on Mars. ’’ I have created an eye mask and ear muff that blocks out the light and sound so the astronauts can sleep better. The eye mask and ear muff is made of Polylactic acid for the flexible property. This eye mask and ear muff needs to be flexible so it can form and grab onto the head. This could be further customizable to fit the astronauts head by 3D scanning the subject. It should be a darker shade to block out the light and the ear cups after 3D printing are finished should be covered with some type of comfortable fiber like cotton to avoid the seashell sound effect.
