I drew two pictures celebrating the recent successful touchdown of the Perseverance rover on Mars. The first is a futuristic sketch of an astronaut on Mars, and the second is a representation of EDL (Entry, Descent, and Landing), a phase that starts when the aeropod that contains the new rover enters the atmosphere and ends when touchdown occurs. I hope you enjoy these drawings. Welcome to the red planet, Perseverance! Hundreds of people put their daring, dedication, and determination into this dream. I thank all of those whose work excelled in this field and inspired several families, foreign and domestic, to do the seemingly “impossible”. Even when we are suffering, the human race will always find a way past all of the challenges our lives throw at us. Thank you, and Godspeed, NASA!
