The molecular nitrogen structure is composed of two nitrogen atoms that are bonded together. Nitrogen itself is colorless, odorless, and tasteless. Whether you realize it or not, nitrogen is extremely relevant in our daily lives. Additionally, nitrogen has its own cycle. We know it appears in various places that we come in contact with everyday. We also come into the closest contact with nitrogen to maintain our body health through amino acids, and find it in our planet’s atmosphere; nitrogen makes up about 78% percent of Earth's atmosphere. Nitrogen is so important that a small imbalance can visibly and chemically impact plants greatly. Nitrogen is even a key element in nucleic acids such as DNA and RNA, and a nitrogen imbalance in the body can be measured through a medical test.
