The Power of Salt

Salt is NaCl. A sodium (Na) element comes together with a chloride (Cl) element to create a sodium chloride compound. Salt is colorless, odorless, taste salty, solid at room temperature, and dissolve in water. There are many types of salt such as table salt, sea salt, salt flakes and salt rocks. Salt is used to make food taste better, preserve food, disinfect wounds, control the water in our body, but very high amounts of it is not good for our body. Sodium Chloride is a mineral that is found in underground salt mines, evaporations of seawater and salt lakes. Salt is important for everyday life.
