Methyl Butanoate

Methyl Butanoate is a molecule that is in many fruits such as apples, pineapple and strawberries. It is made up of 5 atoms of Carbon, 10 atoms of Hydrogen and 2 atoms of Oxygen. It has a smell of sweetness and sugar. It is a clear liquid. When the amount of Methyl Butanoate is high in a fruit the harvests are good. I chose this because I find it really interesting that there are molecules in everything. It is a real world example because many people eat and enjoy fruit everyday.
