Rubber is made of Carbon and Hydrogen molecules. Five Carbons and eight Hydrogens. It is from trees and has been around a long time. It became popular in 1839 after we found ways to make it strong for a long time. In 2005, we made 21 million tons of it. It is used for balloons, balls, tires and even rockets. If we did not have rubber, we would have no balls to play games with, and I love balloons. My favorite rubber ball is the basketball and my favorite balloon color is purple. Rubber rocks!
