Isopropyl Alcohol

Isopropyl alcohol is composed of three carbon atoms, eight hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom (C3H8O). The properties of the molecule include having a slight odor, while also being a colorless flammable chemical compound. Isopropyl alcohol is a very reliable molecule since it is the main ingredient in rubbing alcohol. Rubbing alcohol contains 87.5-91% of isopropyl alcohol with the rest consisting of water and the denaturants. Rubbing alcohol is an important liquid to have in a hospital and at home. It can disinfect wounds, be used as a cleaning product and is in hand sanitizers. Since the hospitals have been packed, due to covid-19 cases, hospitals use Isopropyl to clean their surfaces and technology like computers screens and keyboards, to kill the germs.
