Dopamine is a compound present in the body as a neurotransmitter and a precursor of other substances including epinephrine launcher term of adrenaline. The molecular formula is C8H11NO2. Dopamine is a molecule that consists of a catechol structure (a benzene ring with two hydroxyl side groups) with an amine group attached via the chain. Dopamine occurring naturally of catecholamine formed by decarboxylation of dihydroxyphenylalanine (and a precursor of norepinephrine and epinephrine). Dopamine is important because its a chemical messenger included in reward, maturation, attention, memory, and body movements.
