Water Molecule

A molecule that I interact with everyday is a water molecule. It is made up of 2 hydrogens and one oxygen, called H2O. Some unique properties of water is that it has high heat capacity, meaning that it takes more energy to increase the temperature of it compared to other substances. Water also has high heat of vaporization, meaning that more energy is needed to change the water to gas. Lastly, water is less dense as a solid than as a liquid. Water is important in our world because we drink it, wash things, clean ourselves and water crops which will grow and become our food. Our body is made of 50% or more of water, so without it we won’t be able to survive.
