A very special molecule called methane is usually found in decomposed matter, landfills, and many more areas around the globe. This molecule is made up of two mains atoms called carbon and hydrogen. There is a central carbon located in the middle of four hydrogen molecules. Therefore its chemical formula is CH4. Out of the three types of state of matter that exist, Methane happens to fall into the gas section. In addition, Methane is both colorless and odorless which makes it easier for it to reduce the amount of oxygen in the air without you noticing. Even though it has negative effects, there are plenty of positive ones. These are more heat for when cold, gasoline from oil, and fossil fuel. In conclusion, Methane is a very unique and special molecule that is both helpful and harmful.
