Sodium Hypochlorite is a chemical compound commonly found in bleach. It is also used in wastewater treatment, to disinfect food items and it is used in fruit and vegetable processing, mushroom production, hog, beef and poultry production, maple syrup production, and fish processing. The formula of Sodium Hypochlorite is NAOCI or NACIO. Chlorine and Sodium Hydroxide combine to form this molecule. It consists of three individual atoms bonded by ionic bonds which is a bond that consist of two oppositely charged ions. We use it in so many sanitizing products in our daily lives due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
