The molecule I have built, benzene, has many real life applications. Its formula is C6H6 and is a liquid at room temperature. It can be used to make plastics, like a water bottle we may be drinking from. It also can be used for medical purposes like drugs some people use for their well-being. Another application benzene has is paints and inks; many students using pens or artists generally may have used benzene for their work. There are many more examples; like how benzene can be used for rubber for the shoes we wear every day, and how it can be used for pesticide farmers may use daily for their crops. This isn’t the full extent benzene can be used to, and there are many more reasons this molecule is a simple, but important one.
