My model is of the commonly used and consumed molecule water, or h20. We use this molecule every day, and it is essential to our life. A water molecule is made up of 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom. Covalent bonds hold the atoms together By sharing electrons. We need water to survive, and we use it to cook and clean. Water makes up 60 percent of our bodies, and about 71 percent of the earth's surface is water. We use this molecule to wash our clothes, food, and ourselves. We also need to drink it daily, to stay hydrated. Another way we use water molecules is in products like soap, paint, and things like paper.
