Many of us rely on our morning cup of C8H10N4O2, otherwise known as caffeine. Caffeine is a natural stimulant for our central nervous system and brain. When it reaches your brain, you become more alert. After a short amount of time, you'll feel awake. Due to these effects, it’s a common ingredient in medications to treat or manage drowsiness, insomnia, headaches, and migraines. One problem with the constant consumption of caffeine is that once you consume a constant amount on a daily basis, your body develops an addiction to it. Due to caffeine’s addictive nature, it’s best to lower your consumption of caffeine slowly, or else you could go into withdrawal. Another positive effect of caffeine is that it makes you less likely to develop Alzheimer’s. Though caffeine has some negative effects, due to its beneficial qualities in alerting and waking you, it has a positive impact on the world.
