Cholesterol is an organic molecule; it is classified as a lipid. Cholesterol is composed of Carbon, Oxygen, and Hydrogen. Cholesterol is found in our bodies, it produces vitamin D, and hormones. It helps us in both good and bad ways. If our body produces too much of it, it could cause a heart attack which could kill you. If our body produces too little it won’t be enough to produce vitamin D, which is important for our body to maintain a strong immune system. Cholesterol is both helpful and harmful, but if our body produces enough of it, it can benefit our lives in more ways than one.
