Ammonia has a couple of different properties to it. Ammonia is a colorless gas with a very strong smell. It's lighter than air. To be exact, ammonia’s density is 0.589 times that of air. Ammonia can be liquified pretty easily because of the strong hydrogen bonding between molecules. Ammonia freezes into white crystals at -77.7 Celsius, and the liquid boils at -33.3 Celsius. Ammonia is made up of 4 atoms. These atoms are 1 nitrogen atom, and 3 hydrogen atoms. The name of this is “NH3”. It has a triangular pyramidal geometry. About 80 percent of all ammonia produced is used in agriculture as fertilizers. Ammonia is also an effective tool in cleaning. It can clean microwaves, ovens, glass, and much more. It is effective and safe to use in your home.
