Arsenic acid

The compound that has been chosen for the future engineers project is arsenic or Arsenic acid. The molecular composition of arsenic acid is H3AsO4 . H3AsO4 is 3 atoms of hydrogen, 1 atom of arsenic, and 4 atoms of oxygen. Arsenic acid has many every day uses from pesticides to veterinary medicine. Arsenic acid can be used in pesticides, wood preservative, copper, glass and veterinary medicines. The density of arsenic or arsenic acid is 2.5 grams per cubic centimeter. Arsenic acid has an odor and is pale yellow to pale green, or colorless, when liquid, but can also be a solid and have white crystals. Arsenic acid also can also be found as a yellow looking rock. Arsenic acid boils at 248 degrees fahrenheit or 120 degrees celsius. Arsenic acid is corrosive to metal, toxic for people to ingest and dangerous to the environment.
