Lithium Nitrate

Lithium nitrate is used in the electroplating industry and used to store heat from the sun for cooking. It has also been used as an oxidizing agent to manufacture red colored fireworks and flares. The density of lithium nitrate is 2.38 g/cm3. This molecule is a white and/or yellow solid. The melting point of lithium nitrate is 491°F and the boiling point is 1,112°F. The formula for lithium nitrate is LiNO3. This molecule is soluble is water, ethanol, pyridine, and ammonia. Lithium nitrate is an inorganic compound and is used in various ways today.
