My Molecule is Vitamin B3 and is used in everyday life. The scientific name for Vitamin B3 is Nicotinamide and the compound is C6H6NO. This type of compound is found in many grain foods, fruits, and vegetables. Nicotinamide is sometimes used to apply to skin to help with acne, eczema, and other skin problems. It is also used to help with other conditions such as diabetes and oral cancer. The density of this substance is 1.40 grams per cubic centimeter which means it is able to sink in water. Nicotinamide is also soluble in water. The melting point of the substance is 265.1 degrees fahrenheit and the boiling point is 633 degrees fahrenheit. The mass of Nicotinamide is about 122 grams per molecule. Vitamin B3 is also classified as Niacin and if consumed too much of you might suffer from liver problems.
