Sodium Hydroxide Explained

Sodium Hydroxide, also known as Lye, which is commonly used for drain cleaner which is a product used in everyday life. The molecular composition of sodium hydroxide, better known as its chemical formula is NaOH. This chemical formula consists of 1 atom of sodium, 1 atom of oxygen, and 1 atom of hydrogen. Sodium Hydroxides physical properties consist of a crystalline, and colorless solid with a boiling point of 604 degrees fahrenheit, and a boiling point of 2,530 degrees fahrenheit. Lye is soluble in water, and is used for drain cleaner because of its impeccable job of disintegrating most things, even the human body.
