Promise

“Promise” is a strong and powerful name. The reason why it’s such an incredible name is because the mission shows hope and promise. If the rover sends any information back to Earth that shows life, then it is possible that something used to live on Mars. It could even mean maybe WE could live on Mars someday. But there’s another meaning for the word “promise.” Promise also means that if you say something that you will do, you must do it. Our promise is to send rovers to space and get information that will help everyone. That is my example of the other meaning of the word promise. I thought the name “Promise” would go nicely with all the older rovers’ names (Curiosity, Spirit, Opportunity, Sojourner, and Insight). That is why the name “Promise” would be a good name for the new Mars rover.
