The 2020 Mars rover should be named “Vitality” because this mission is vital to the future of Mars research and exploration. The rover will be searching for vital components for life such as water, carbon and energy sources. These will provide evidence for the possibility that microscopic extraterrestrial life can or did exist on Mars. If there is water on Mars, it would be a vital resource to the astronauts because they would not have to bring as much water with them on the rocket, so they could use that space for scientific equipment. Also it would be very helpful to know if Mars could, in the future, be habitable for humans. All in all, I think the new Mars rover should be named “Vitality” because the rover is going to be vital to future missions on Mars, and it will symbolize the vitality of scientific research.
