Innovator

I think the Mars 2020 Rover should be named INNOVATOR. An INNOVATOR creates new ideas or ways of doing things. The Mars 2020 Rover is an INNOVATOR because it has many new things that other Rovers did not. The Mars 2020 Rover is the FIRST Rover with landing technology that can automatically find a new touchdown point if the first one is not safe. The Rover includes the Mars Helicopter – the FIRST aircraft to fly on another planet! The Rover also has microphones to capture the FIRST sounds from Mars, a drill that will be the FIRST to store rock core samples, and technology to make the FIRST oxygen on Mars from its atmosphere. All INNOVATIONS that can help determine if life existed on Mars, characterize the climate, determine the geology, and prepare for the FIRST human explorers. That is why the Mars 2020 Rover should be named INNOVATOR.
