I chose this name because in ancient Greece Metis was a Titan who was known for wisdom, crafts and skill. Just like how the 2020 rover will give us more wisdom about Mars. Also it has taken great skill and craft to build this rover. Her father is Oceanus and this rover will also look for signs of subsurface water. Therefore, I believe that Metis 2020 is the perfect name for the 2020 rover.
