Perception

Mars 2020's new name should be Perception. As she explores the terrain of the Red Planet, new experiments will record data that will create a perception of the surface of Mars. The design of Mars 2020 is very similar to Curiosity, such that these two rovers will be linked together very closely, both physically and in spirit. Replacing the Spirit and Opportunity rovers as the fearless and determined explorers of Mars, they will be united in their purpose: to analyse the surface of Mars, and create a perception of it. These two rovers will embody the human spirit of expansion and determination, bringing unseen opportunities to study the possible presence of past life, and the potential for future life. Curiosity brings perception. The state of wonder and desire for understanding fuels exploration, creating a perception of the world around us, just a Curiosity paved the way for her sister, Perception.
