Little Tinker

I want the Mars rover to be Little Tinker for two reasons. First, tinkering means to fix and experiment on something. The rover will be tinkering with samples on Mars to help see if there was ever life on that planet. Also, I think this is a good name because I want to honor Betty Skelton. I first learned about her when my librarian at school read a book about her to my class. Betty Skelton loved adventures and was an amazing pilot. She had an airplane called Little Stinker. Her dog, Little Tinker, would often fly with her. Betty loved other adventures too. She was a race car driver. She was also the first lady to do astronaut training and helped make it possible for other ladies to become astronauts. I think she would have loved being a part of a Mars adventure.
