I would name the new 2020 Mars rover “Determination” because there are many basic elements the rover needs to find solutions before astronauts can explore Mars. Astronauts going to Mars need some basic life necessities such as oxygen, food, and water. The rover will prepare future human missions. The MOXIE instrument will experiment producing oxygen using carbon dioxide on Mars. The RIMFAX can detect ice and water using ground penetrating radar. The PIXL can take pictures of the soil and detect ancient microbial life. The instrument SHERLOC searches for organic and minerals, watery environments, and signs of microbial life. The SHERLOC also includes space suit material to test how they can hold up in the Martian environment. All of these experiments on Mars need determination from the engineers to find solutions making it possible that one day humans will explore on the red sands of Mars.
