Aurum

The name Aurum refers to one who has deep inner truth and represents a glowing dawn. The 2020 Mars mission is symbolic of this new, "glowing dawn" emerging in technology and science in the coming decade, and the Aurum rover will be emblematic of this restored age. Many think that we have discovered all we need to know about space and the workings of the universe, but in reality we still know so little. Aurum's mission to the Red Planet is the first step in wrapping our heads around the complex solar system we live in. While we may never know everything about the cosmos, we the scientific community will be driven by the search for truth and knowledge that backs the Aurum rover and hope that this "glowing dawn" of science guides us to many more missions to Mars and beyond.
