I’ve dreamed of the stars since I was in 7th grade. I’ve dreamed of the vast variety of planets since I was in third grade. Jupiter has been my favorite planet since the fourth grade. Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) provide the energy and power to discover planets, planet features and space objects that are hidden to scientists at first glance. If I created a mission, I’d prepare a spacecraft in order to orbit Jupiter, powered by an RPS. I would be able to get recent data on how the Great Red Spot is affecting and altering its surroundings. The Red Spot is similar to typhoons, and based on previous data, it contracts or even changes shape. My goal would be to analyze and collect data in order to continue the research on the effects and changes of Jupiter’s storm. With more data, there’s opportunity for more experiments. Believe me, I’m no Captain America, and I’m definitely no Supergirl, but I have superpowers of my own: Determination and perseverance. My determination will get me to the first step, and my perseverance will take me to the finish line of my orbital data mission. If I can dream it…I can do it.
