My mission will be called the Triton Global Surveyor. The goal is to create a more detailed map of the biggest moon of Neptune, Triton, to look for possible landing sites for future human explorations. Radioisotope Power Systems will power this mission. More specifically, the Radioisotope Heater Units will be essential in this mission to combat the average freezing temperature of around -391 Fahrenheit. Similar to the Mars Global Surveyor, the Triton Global surveyor will have orbital cameras to collect changes in the meteorological conditions of the largest natural satellite of Neptune. More specifically, the surface, atmosphere, and interior of the moon. This data would help scientists create vertical profiles of atmospheric temperature and pressure. In addition, spacecraft lasers could give scientists a clear picture of the 3-D views of Triton’s volcanic plains, mounds, and round pits formed by icy lava flows. My special skill is my ability to communicate well with others. This mission would take lots of skilled professionals and lots of communication between people to make this mission successful. I think my communication and interpersonal skills will significantly increase the success rate of this mission.
