I want to go to Jupiter’s closest moon, called Metis. The first goal of my mission is to land on Metis, which orbits Jupiter extremely fast. The second goal of my mission is to discover what Metis is made of. The final goal of my mission is to take samples of Metis and bring them back to earth to study. This will be the first mission to an inner moon of Jupiter. I would use the Radioisotope Power System for my mission because Metis is far from the sun, and is often completely in the dark. The RPS will keep my spacecraft alive to study what Metis is made of and send the signal to earth with everything it learns. The RPS would keep it going to the right place and give it power to return to Earth. Without the RPS, it would be hard to power my mission. My power is that I am good at solving puzzles. I would use my power to solve any puzzles and problems I might have during my mission. A mission to Metis will be very hard because of how far away it is, how fast it moves, and how close it is to Jupiter. It will take a long time to get there and many things could go wrong. My power will help the mission succeed.
