This design was created keeping in mind the rough, rocky and sandy terrains of other plants, such as Mars. The two protruding outer wheels have special grooves on them. The special pattern on the grooves will help the rover if it gets stuck in sandy or muddy places by ejecting the sand or mud using the grooves. These wheels will also give the rover a nice grip and prevent it from skidding. If the rover, during exploration, comes across uneven surfaces or has to climb uphill, the inner wheels, which have sharp spikes, will give the rover a firm grip and help it in climbing. If the rover falls or has a hard crash, the suspension system will increase the friction and stop the rover from severing and going out of control.
