Chain Reaction Smile

I decided to create a chain reaction (a Rube Goldberg) to make someone smile. My chain reaction started with a click of a simple machine and ended with a box closing and pulling up a smiling emoji face outside my window. I tried running it through several times before the chain reaction functioned correctly. I changed many components to get it to work. I tested each individual part many times before finally running everything through. I used the engineering design process to help me along the way. One example of how I used it is by testing my build multiple times and seeing how it can be fixed, or how it could be better. I also used it by brainstorming ideas to achieve my goal. I created a video of the chain reaction and sent it to friends and family, and it brought a smile to all of their faces. Hopefully this makes you smile!
