Smiley Face Appreciation Card

For my invention to make someone smile, I decided to make a card with a short but sweet message inside. The message inside said how thankful I was for everything that they have done and continue to do for me. I made two identical cards, one for my mom and one for my dad, with the exact same message inside. Inside the card, I had a smiley face with a spring behind it so that it would spring out at you when you open the card. I made the smiley face out of yellow construction paper and used an old spring from my dad’s garage. I found a gold sharpie to create the lettering and used a yellow paper clip to prevent the spring from springing out. I hoped that this card would help to express my appreciation for my parents.
