Surgical Smiles

I chose to create a painting for my start a smile project. My choice was to paint because I believe that paintings are very nice and calming to look at and they can bring you joy. The painting I decided to make consists of many tiny smiley faces lining the face of a surgical mask. I wanted to include a surgical mask to pay homage to all of the nurses and doctors that are working hard in the hospital. To create this I first drew the outline of the surgical mask in pencil. Then I went over the pencil in acrylic paint. Next, I went over the acrylic paint with smiley faces. I believe that it is important to smile in troublesome times like these. This is why I would like to share this broadly, not just to our grade, but to our community.
