The Smiley Mask

Before the coronavirus, when I went in public I could see everybody smile. People were friendlier, more talkative, and smiled often. Now, many people are sad, stressed, and not often smiling. I notice they are still out running errands, but do not seem happy at all anymore. I created a mask with a smiley face on it for me to wear when I am out in public in stores and restaurants. Now others can see my smile, and because it’s unusual and funny, it makes them smile also. I can usually tell they are smiling by their cheeks rising up, and their eyes squinting in a smile since I can’t see their mouths smile when they are wearing a mask for health reasons.
