Start a Smile Blanket

I decided to knit a blanket for my Grandmother to make her smile. I chose to use yellow yarn to knit the blanket because yellow is a bright and happy color that reminds me of her personality. I wanted to make this blanket so that whenever she sees it, she will know that although I am not with her during these hard times, I am always thinking and wishing the best for her. Even though I am still a beginner knitter and have been knitting for just over a year, I wanted to use the skills of knitting that I have learned so far to create this gift. When I finished the blanket and gave it to her, the smile on her face and the joy she possessed overwhelmed me with happiness and made me feel that all of the work that I had put into the blanket paid off.
