Trebuchets are medieval machines used for hurtling large stones in warfare, and they were quite popular back in these times. Fast forward a couple of hundred years, and here we are in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic: waiting for someone to reach out to us.
Someone to laugh and smile.
I based my invention of the trebuchet off of the medieval design, using duct tape, cardboard, jute twine and a battery for my counterweight. The projectile, of course, was a smiley ball!
If someone is on the other side of the window, or if they need a fun way to receive a smile, then this is the perfect idea! These are all items I was able to find in my household very quickly, and it was a great way to keep me occupied at home.
Smiles are miracles, so I wanted mine to arrive in style with this awesome trebuchet!
