On the ISS, the sun rises every 90 minutes. This can make it difficult for the astronauts to sleep for the full eight hour session that they are given to sleep. The helmet that I have designed will help the astronauts sleep better because it will block the light from bothering the astronauts. There is little gravity on the ISS, so in order to sleep, astronauts are strapped down to keep them in place. The supports in my helmet will keep the astronauts head in one place while the rest of the body is strapped down, preventing neck problems. The helmet will also prevent objects from bumping into the astronaut's faces while they sleep. The supports inside the helmet have adjustable sizes so that the helmet will fit all sizes of heads. Finally, the air holes on the front of the helmet will allow air to flow to the astronaut.
