I chose to combine a compass with a wrench. If there is ever technology failure aboard the ISS astronauts need to be able to locate their position. It is important for astronauts to be able to read maps and star charts, and a compass is an essential tool for this. My design is made up of two separate parts which fit together in about six angles, allowing astronauts to use it on maps very effectively. Additionally, the end doubles as a wrench. Wrenches are essential on the ISS to keep screws and bolts tightened.
