Folding Toolbox Clip

This folding tool carrier and adjustable clip uses the previously established hook and loop fasteners system throughout the International Space Station. Hook and loop fastener tape (already on the ISS) would be added to each flat side of the item allowing tools that already have hook and loop on them to be stuck to the tool carrier and carried around at the astronaut’s convenience. The design of each linkage is identical allowing the user to link as many as needed for more, or less storage. The clip on one end of the tool carrier, allows for small objects such as paper, or sticky notes to be attached in its unextended state. When the hinge of the link is over-extended, it opens the clip further, allowing for larger objects such as tissues to be attached as shown in the photo. The clip can also be used to attach the tool carrier to wires or other items, tethering it while astronauts work.
