Gratitude Towards Veterans

Veterans are people who served the military. These people work together to protect us. For this reason, I chose the shape of my pin to be a hexagon to resemble how veterans work together as honeycombs (hexagons) work together to store honey. The shield on the U.S. flag represents that the veterans protect the U.S. I put it on top of the U.S. flag because the U.S. was the one to make Veterans Day. Therefore, the shield on the flags represents how veterans protect the U.S. The U.S. flag has one star to symbolize 50 stars on the U.S. flag. Veterans work hard to protect us, so they must feel appreciated. The word on my pin has the purpose of making a veteran feel appreciated and connects to my title. The words on my pin are, “Thank you for protecting us. We owe you our lives! So, we honor you.”
