We Love Veterans Pin

For my “We love Veterans project” I made an American Flag with poppies coming out of the back of it. The first part I made is the American flag. I made this because it represents our country. It also symbolizes freedom and liberty for all. The back of my veteran’s pin is made of two poppies criss crossed, behind the American flag. I made these poppies because they are the enduring symbol of remembrance of the first World War. They are also strongly linked with Veteran’s Day. Which is why I chose to put two of them on the back of my pin. I colored my poppies red because they represent hardiness and valor. I think that my veteran’s pin should be colored either red or blue. I think this because the symbolism for blue is freedom, vigilance, perseverance, and justice.
